Exhibition “Fiori d’artificio” by Silvano D’Ambrosio
Silvano D’Ambrosio’s ‘Firework Flowers’ exhibition
Curated by Massimiliano Fabbri
23th November 2024 to 6th January 2025
at Palazzo Cassa di Risparmio della Fondazione del Monte
Opening on Saturday 23th November at 6 p.m.
The rationalist former Palazzo Cassa di Risparmio, which in Piazza Baracca stands next to Domenico Rambelli’s monument dedicated to Francesco Baracca, hosts a personal exhibition by painter Silvano D’Ambrosio, a native of Romagna by adoption but born in France in 1951, where he has been living since 2010 while maintaining strong ties with Italy, his place of training.
The exhibition presents a variety of paintings composed of a selection of around sixty small and medium-sized canvases, belonging to different cycles, themes and seasons, painted by the artist over the last decade, from 2014 to the present.
Along the exhibition’s path through seven rooms, the works do not follow a chronological progression and order, nor do they follow a thematic subdivision by rooms, but rather paintings belonging to different series and periods are placed side by side, juxtaposed by internal resonances and details that return in time.
