War cemetry built and attended by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and been designed by Louis De Soissons.
“The ground for this cemetry has been given by Italians for the eternal rest of marines, soldiers and aviators whose memory is always vivid”. These are the words at the entry of the canadian war cemetry of Villanova.
In this war cemetry, 212 war victims rest, one is unknown, 6 English and 206 Canadian. At the entry there is a temple where it’s kept a register recording the names and the country of the soldiers.
On the left, on the wall there is a multi lingual panel showing the main lines of the allies advance in Italy during the Second World War.
