Two weekends dedicated to traditional craftsmanship, at the Ecomuseo delle Erbe Palustri.
The courses are aimed at adults who, under the guidance of expert masters, will know the characteristics and methods of preparing raw materials and will learn the basic weaving techniques to create an article.
18 and 19 October
Willow basketry and chair caning course
Maximum number of participants: basketry 10 people – chair caning 6 people
Materials used: willow, common reed and sedge
29 and 30 November
Marsh grass weaving course
Maximum number of participants: 6 people
Materials used: sedge and rush
Useful information
Course participants must bring a pair of shears, a small knife and a work apron.
We will visit the sections relating to the various production cycles to admire the original artefacts from the museum collection.
The educational and convivial meeting also includes a pleasant shared lunch in the museum tavern.
Course times: 9.30 am – 12.30 pm | 2.00pm – 5.00pm
Cost: €95 per course per person, including lunch at Locanda dell’allegra mutanda.
The cost of each individual course per person includes material and lunches.
