The church of Santa Maria was built in the early 1950s. Inside the church of “Santa Maria” can be seen the apse stained-glass windows and the precious pottery by Gaetano Dalmonte from Faenza.
Really interesting is also a canvas depicting Jesus’ Baptism, painted by Anacleto Margotti. The canvas was donated to the church as a sign of reconciliation by an American aviator, who took part to the bombing on Alfonsine which destroyed the former church.
