The natural reserve of Alfonsine is a small regional protected area of about 12 hectares; it was created in 1990 according to the law no.11/88 of the Emilia Romagna Region and can be visited all the year round.
It is divided into three main areas which constitute a protected shelter for various animal species and plants; the reserve is an example of how the local environment and landscape used to be in the past.
Guided tours to the reserve are upon reservation only.
