This tiny lane called “Vicolo degli amori” (lovers lane) is a narrow street connecting the church chiesa del Carmine with via Vecchia Darsena in Bagnacavallo.
Originally it was a passage from the church to the Carmelites convent (XVII century). In the XIX century, after the suppression of religious orders in Napoleonic times, the convent became a shelter for poor women, then it became property of the town which trasformed it into houses.
The charming lane is paved in cotto and enlighted by small lanterns. On the side of via Vecchia Darsena, it carries a ceramic sign with its name on it. During town festivals it is the set of photo exhibitions or other events.
