The two storey house is quite small and it has been preserved in an excellent way. The family of the famous composer Gioachino Rossini lived here for a long time. Gioacchino’s father lived here till 1790, then he moved to Pesaro. As he came back, the house had been occupied by another family so they moved into another house in the same area.
The facade of the building carries a memorial stone in honour of Gioachino Rossini, with a latin inscription; inside the house it’s possible to see some documents which testify the relationship between the composer and the town of Lugo.
The museum and other places related to Gioachino Rossini are part of the itinerary Notes from the land of Bassa Romagna, for more information click here
