Giacomo Sintini was born in Lugo in 1979. He is a volleyball player.
In 2005-2006 Sintini won the scudetto while playing with Lube Banca Marche Macerata.
In 2005 he competed with the national team and won the European championship.
In 2010 Sintini played in Russia with Lokomotiv Belgorod and then came back to Italy where he is currently part of Yoga Forlì in A1.
In 2012, he was signed up by Trentino Volley, with which he won the 2012 FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship and the 2012-13 Italian Volleyball Cup.
On 25 June, 2014, his purchase by Callipo Sport was made official. This team took part in the Serie A2 championship for the following season and won the A2 Italian Cup.
After having won his fight against cancer (2011), he founded an association that bears his name- the Giacomo Sintini Association- that raises funds for research on leukaemia and lymphomas, and for assistance in the onco-haematology field. In 2014, he published his first book: Forza e Coraggio (Strength and Courage).
