The oratory of “Santissima Annunziata” (Sepulcrum Gentis Piancastelli) is located by the municipal cemetry, on the border of the typical local contryside.
Built in 1690, just in front of the area later chosen for the cemetry, by will of Don Gianpaolo Ballirani, who had the idea of a small “high and vaulted” church. When Piancastelli family selected this place as private mausoleum, it was pratically destroyed and in need of restoration. The famous local bibliofile Carlo Piancastelli was buried here on the 22nd February 1938.
