Pierluigi Martini was born in Lugo in 1961. He is a former race car driver.
In 1984 Martini participated in the F1 race of Gran Premio d’Italia, although he didn’t qualify with Toleman-Hart.
His long collaboration with Minardi started in 1985 and he won some awards with this team. He has also been involved with Formula 3000.
Minardi’s last competition in F1 was in 1995 at Germany’s GP.
