Local marsh grass and wood handicraft can be purchased at the museum Ecomuseo delle Erbe Palustri, whose aim is to preserve and foster the traditional heritage of the local tradition.
The museum houses some 3.000 objects, amongst which, in particular, marsh grass crafts made with Medieval and XIX century techniques. The museum includes an open air display, Etnoparco – Villanova delle capanne, with traditional huts built according to the traditional techniques.
The centre holds an intense didactic activity with workshops for groups of people of for schools; booking is essential.
During the spring open air market La soffitta in piazza and during the local feast Sagra delle erbe palustri, it is possible to see the old folks of the village at work with the local materials and techniques; their production includes bags, brooms, chairs and various other everyday objects.
