ORATORIO DI CROCE COPERTA

The oratory dates back to the fist half of the XV century and draws this name from toponyms concerning the street and hydrological structure of the area where it was built.
Inside, the wide cycle of devotional frescos makes this church unique in the local area.
The frescos date back to a period that goes from the first half of the XV century to to the first decades of the XVI centurty, with some additions carried out in the XIX century by G. Bertazzoni, a local painter; the devotional decoration is dedicated to the most popular saints of the area and presents several style (worth of mention are, for example, elements of the late gothic period, as it developed in this region).
