PALAZZO PAPINI-CAPRA

This private palace was built in the XVII century and it was originally named after the family Papini, while later it turned into Capra. In 1662 the palace hosted Cristina Queen of Sweden, while on her way to Rome.
The facade is very elegant and imposing while windows are marked with a frame and even with gables on the ground floor. The main doorway leads to a wide entrance hall and to the inner cort yard; a wide and imposing staircase leads to the upper floors, which are decorated with frescos and stuccos.

The palace has been recently restored and today its wide halls and rooms (now divided into smaller rooms) hosts flats and shops.
