Built in 1717 in Maiano Monti in Fusignano for will of Matteo Tamburini, the Villa in 1769 it was sold to Fedele Monti who arrived here four years later, when his famous son Vincenzo Monti, poet and scholar, was 17. Monti family lived here until 1889.
The walls are embellished by fresco landscape views painted in 1812 by the nephew of Vincenzo, Giovanni Monti, before he moved to Rome, where he worked with Gianbattista Bassi and Massimo D’Azeglio.
