CHIESA DELLA MADONNA DI GENOVA (formerly MADONNA DELLA PILLA)
The original church dates back to XVI century. It was almost completely destroyed during the Second World War and only ruins of it still remain. Evidence of the former building are the right wall, left untouched, and the pretty Renaissance facade.
CHIESA DI SAN FRANCESCO
The church, built in Gothic Roman style, was built in the decade 1484-1494 following the Papal bull dated June the 6th 1484. The consecration is dated 1495.
CHIESA DI ASCENSIONE
The church in the Ascensione area of Lugo dates back to 1534. Originally, on the land called “La Pioppa”, there was a reed and masonry building inhabited by hermits, a stopping point for pilgrims. Next to it there was an oratory dedicated to Sant’Antonio Abate, which was destroyed by fire. With the first restorations, dating back to the second half of the 20th century, burials and fragments of ceramics dating back to the 15th century were discovered.
ORATORIO DI SANTA DOROTEA
This oratory dedicated to St. Dorothea has been founded here in Belricetto in the beginning of the XVIII century. It’s a single nave church, whose ceiling is embellished with two paintings on wood which depict the Saint Anthony from Padua while adoring the Child and St. Joseph. During restoration works, carried out in 1967, it was founded a small painting portraying the face of S. Agnes, which can be seen in the middle of the apse.
ANTICA PIEVE – CHIESA DI CAMPANILE
This church, located in the village of Santa Maria in Fabriago, is one of the oldest of the diocese and is dedicated to the nativity of Virgin Mary; formerly, it used to be a parish church.
ORATORIO DI PASSOGATTO
This oratory was built in the village of Passogatto in the beginning of the XVIII century and it was dedicated to a tiny image of the Madonna from Loreto, which have been found in 1957 soon after the closing of the church due to restoration works.
CHIESA DELL’ARGININO
The church was built along a period of six years on an area owned by Emaldi Family; on November the 2nd 1727 it was dedicated to “Beata Vergine della Consolazione”, as mentioned in a wooden commemoration altarpiece preserved inside.
CHIESA DI S. FRANCESCO DI PAOLA
The present building, in neogothic style, dates back to 1890 and stands on a previous XIV century ‘s structure dedicated to the "Annunziata", of which several traces and decorations remain.
CHIESA PARROCCHIALE DI S. GIACOMO
The first church dedicated to S. Giacomo was built during High Middle Age within the walls of the old casle. In 1390 it was rebuild in the present position, since the castle had become a fortress.
ORATORIO DEL SANTISSIMO CROCIFISSO
This oratory, built in 1677 thanks to the legacy of Auditor Carlo Spadazzi and transformed into a church about ten years later, is the most ancient religious building in Fusignano. Survived to the World War II, it has been restored and presents an interesting shrine in the facade.
