MONUMENT TO DON FRANCESCO GIANSTEFANI
In 2004 the artist Cesare Rabbiti created this monument to celebrate Father Francesco Gianstefani’s thirty years long support of his local community, from the ‘30s till the long and harsh post-war reconstruction.
MONUMENT TO FRANCESCO BARACCA
The monument is dedicated to the famous aviator, Francesco Baracca, born in Lugo in 1888 and fallen on Montello highlands (Treviso) on the June the 19th in 1918.
ARMENIAN STELE- KHATCHKAR
The armenian stele of Bagnacavallo is a masterpiece of the Armenian sculptor Grigor Kiragossian, donated in 1998 by Vanadzor (an Armenian town) to Bagnacavallo as a present to thank for the help given by the local cultural association "Associazione Amici dell’Armenia" based in Bagnacavallo.
TORRE DI JOHN HAWKWOOD
Hawkwood tower was built in 1376 by Sir John Hawkwood, famous English captain of a mercenary company, whose name in Italian had become Giovanni Acuto.
ANTICA GALLERIA
An half buried gallery connects the inner yard of Palazzo Vecchio to via Trento Trieste. It has always been public and it is one of the few still existing pieces of the older defensive system of the city.
PIAZZA DELLA LIBERTA’
Piazza della Libertà was the heart of the town already in the XI century. However, the present structure dates back to the last decades of the XVIII century, when the town was radically trasformed by apostolic legates.
VICOLO DEGLI AMORI
This tiny lane called Vicolo degli amori (lovers lane) is a narrow street connecting the church chiesa del Carmine with via Vecchia Darsena.
HISTORICAL MILL OF SAN PATRIZIO
The mill belonged to the Duke Francesco Pico della Mirandola and was erected at the end of the XV century; it lies along Imola mills canal, the ancient canal leading to the river Po of Primaro.
VILLA MORSIANI
Historical XV century villa, always inhabitated by Morsiani family and now seat of “‘Allevamento dei cani San Bernardo” a dog breeding centre internationally reknown, is one of the most important historical buildings of the Region.
PALAZZO VECCHIO
The so called Palazzo Vecchio in Bagnacavallo was build in the middle of the XIII century, during the Bolognese dominion, to host the chief “Podestà”. Today the building houses some municipal offices.
